Google Analytics & server Logs

Google Analytics is a service we use that creates a specific type of cookie that helps us understand how our website is being used in order to improve the user experience. More information can be found here.

Additionally, our web servers create logs that help us understand how the website is being used and performing, and help us diagnose any problems. These logs may your record IP address but this is an essential technical requirement for us to be able to offer the website service.

In both such cases, all user data is anonymous and logs are only retained as long as is needed for reasonably diagnosis and accountability.

Data back-ups

In order to supply the intended level of service and functionality of our websites, we create backup files which may include server logs. With certain activations, it may occasionally be necessary to store your personal data slightly longer, e.g. in a backup file. This will only be done where absolutely necessary e.g. a third party service has failed and the activation cannot be completed as intended. When the service is restored, such backups are processed and any personal data and the backup itself is deleted.
