Talon Outdoor’s Plato Adapts for Heavily Regulated Industries

Talon Outdoor, an OOH media specialist, has announced its OOH planning and buying platform, Plato, can now handle campaign planning for more heavily regulated industries such as cannabis, alcohol and gambling. Plato reveals where advertising such products is more restricted, such as near schools and houses of worship, according to a press release.

By using Plato, customers can identify and select OOH locations and avoid prohibited zones. It also features Safegraph data, so users can create custom market assessments, prioritize the right markets and develop media plans.

“Out of Home advertising has always been a favored medium for brands in regulated categories, even with the complex rules that have made campaign planning a challenging process,” Jim Wilson, U.S. CEO of Talon, said in the release.  “With advertising spend by regulated category companies expected to rise dramatically in the coming years, Talon’s Plato software platform allows for precise identification of all the OOH inventory, including static and digital, that satisfies the rules and prohibitions governing advertising, enabling our clients to reach their target audiences with a message that is powerful, timely and relevant.”
