Accounts Payable Lead
Role Description
Talon has an exciting opportunity for an accounts payable lead to join our Finance team. The successful candidate must be a team player with strong people management skills and the ability to provide guidance and operational support to the AP team.

THE ROLE_
The ideal candidate is professional, capable of managing and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment, and extremely self-motivated. This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing team!
RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATIONSHIPS_
- Lead team of accounts payable staff, including hiring, training, and supervising
- Responsible for effectively managing / improving relationships with company vendors (including monitoring the email box to is at 48-hour SLA).
- Perform weekly reviews of vendor accounts ensuring NetSuite agrees to Vendor statements
- Monitor Kefron ensuring accounts payable team are clearing down on a timely basis
- Monitor working capital impact of customer receipts (60day terms) versus vendor payments (30-day terms from date of receipt)
- Manage implementation of Plato US within the current accounts payable processes
- Responsible for any accounts payable audit requests
WORKING HABITS AND CORE SKILLS_
- 3 – 5 years of Accounts Payable experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Attention to detail required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Teachable and exceptional work ethic
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS_
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience in Media sector preferred but not essential
- Highly proficient in MS Excel
- Flexible with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with a positive and can-do attitude
- Ability to develop strong relationships across Talon and maintain credibility with a range of stakeholders
- Ability and willingness to get their sleeves rolled up and get into the detail
- NetSuite experience preferred but not essential
