MODERN SLAVERY ACT STATEMENT
This statement is published in accordance with the Modern Slavery act 2015 for the year ended 31 December 2020. Talon recognises that we have a responsibility to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking from existing in either our business or our supply chain.
We recognise that COVID-19 presented changes to our operations logistically and while this is the case we have not identified any modern slavery concerns during the 2020 review, this statement reflects and sets out our commitment to developing and implementing policies and practices to ensure that we do not allow modern slavery and human trafficking to take place in our business or supply chain.
Talon is an independent specialist media agency operating primarily in the UK out-of-home advertising sector. We work with advertisers, advertising agencies and media owners to deliver industry leading advertising campaigns across a range of formats.
The main office for the business is in London –with centralised management, recruitment and procurement functions – but we provide services across the UK as well as in a number of international markets. It is our intention to expand the scope of our international activities further and any due diligence in relation to this will include ensuring the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking within these expanded operations.
OUR SUPPLY CHAIN
The company has established strong, long-term relationships across our supply chain. We believe that this ensures the standards of our services remain at the highest level and we work closely with these suppliers to achieve this. As part of this, we believe that these long-term relationships ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain and we will look to develop this further
Talon has clear employment policies and process in place including policies to help protect individuals from exploitation. The employment policies include carrying out identity checks on new employees, ensuring that new workers have the right to work in the UK and maintaining copies of the relevant identity documentation.
We also have a whistle-blowing policy in place, which encourages our employees to report any wrongdoing in our business, including any matters related to modern slavery or human trafficking. If we receive any reports in relation to whistle-blowing such matters will be fully investigated and the appropriate action taken.
We expect our suppliers to have appropriate anti-slavery and human trafficking policies and processes and we are taking steps to ensure that the key contractual relationships reflect this requirement. We will be carrying out a risk assessment of our key suppliers on an annual basis and will address any areas of concern with them.
As part of ensuring continuous improvement, Talon will review its policies on an annual basis to ensure that these reflect best practice and the policies will be updated as required.
To ensure that there is an understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking, all members of the senior management team have been briefed on the subject and training is being provided to relevant members of our team involved in managing our supply chain relationships.
Talon Outdoor Limited’s approach to Tax

The main office for the business is in London –with centralised management, recruitment and procurement functions – but we provide services across the UK as well as in a number of international markets. Talon is committed to complying with tax laws in a responsible manner and having open and constructive relationships with tax Authorities. Talon’s head Office is based in the UK and will remain a UK Tax resident company.
1. Tax Planning
We adhere to relevant tax law and we seek to minimise the risk of uncertainty or disputes.
We engage in efficient tax planning that supports our business and reflects commercial and economic activity and we do not engage in artificial tax arrangements.
Talon ensures its tax planning is aligned with its business activity. Talon will, where it is reasonable and appropriate to do so, take steps to reduce its tax liabilities. It will claim properly available allowances, deductions, relief, incentives, exemptions and credits where it is beneficial to do so.
2. Relationships with Governments
We seek to build and sustain relationships with governments and fiscal authorities that are constructive and based on mutual respect. We work collaboratively wherever possible with fiscal authorities to resolve disputes in a timely manner and we strive to achieve early agreement and certainty.
We support the principle behind greater transparency and Talon engages with Tax authorities in its relevant jurisdictions in a constructive, timely and transparent way. All disclosure and clearance requirements are adhered to.
4. Tax risk management and Governance
We report on a periodic basis to our third party Tax experts on how our taxes are managed, monitored and assured and on improvements that are being made. In this way Talon is provided with governance and oversight of Tax risks and Legislative changes.
