Client Strategist
Role Description
Client Success is Talon’s customer-facing department responsible for servicing, strategizing and growing clients’ Out of Home business. The goal for the department is to provide a high quality, best-in-market OOH partnership experience for Talon’s clients, which results in them growing their use of OOH advertising and creating world-class OOH innovation and campaign effectiveness. Each Client Success team is responsible for delivering Talon’s product, performance, and partnership with a specific portfolio of agencies and direct clients. Client Success teams are also responsible for delivering Talon’s business and financial goals for their clients. To achieve its goals, Client Success (a) develops and executes annual strategies to grow and evolve each clients’ use of OOH advertising, (b) delivers high quality, thoughtful and pro-active client service and deliverables, (c) takes ownership of OOH campaign strategies, solutions, and results, and (d) partners with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic ideas are executed effectively through to completion. Each Client Success team also takes responsibility for providing continuous, relevant education on the power and potential of Out of Home advertising to its portfolio of clients and agencies; for promoting Talon and the value-add services that Talon provides; and for driving adoption of Talon’s suite of services and solutions.
THE ROLE_
The Client Strategist is responsible for day to day account management for their respective clients and agencies. Working across internal and external stakeholders, the Client Strategist will build positive relationships, ensure accurate and timely delivery of work, and work effectively across departments.
YOU_
- You proactively manage the ever-evolving needs of your clients and your team
- You interrogate briefs, work with your Manager/Director to provide strategic recommendations, writing tight creative briefs that push boundaries, and pulling together innovative pitch proposals
- Support Client Manager with creation, maintenance, and management of documents and reports throughout the planning and buying process (i.e.- media plan, cost sheets, proof of posting, and override reports) working across internal depts to gather
- Have a thorough understanding and utilize all internal and external tools and systems for planning, measurement, etc. as required
- As well as supporting your team, you’ll lead your own projects, looping in resource to support where it is needed.

- You are happy to share ideas for new initiatives and ways of working and equally happy to hear other people’s ideas
- You have a good understanding of the media landscape and truly understand how OOH and Brand Experience compliments other channels
RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATIONSHIPS_
- Working alongside the wider team to deliver best in class creative responses for our clients, helping brands turn the OOH landscape into opportunities to engage with consumers
- Lead day to day account management, planning, and buying for your clients and agencies
- Be familiar with strategy and objectives of your clients and agencies
- Ensure high quality client services and deliverable by going above standard asks and including innovative ideas to delight clients
- Effectively resolve day to day issues as required alongside internal and external stakeholders, enlisting support of senior team members as required
- Support team in key client reports and regular pipeline reporting
- Work collaboratively across internal teams including Client Fulfilment and Production, and Creative Services
- Have a solid understanding and utilize all internal and external tools and systems for planning, measurement, etc. as required
- Look for opportunities to educate clients on the value and role of OOH as part of an overall channel mix and marketing campaign
- Identify and implement best practice and efficiencies with your team, collaborating with other teams as needed
- Ensure all work completed by yourself and Client Associate (where applicable):
- Is accurately delivered, internally and externally
- Are delivered in a timely manner and within required deadlines
- Understand and be able to articulate Talon ways of working and specialist offerings
WORKING HABITS AND CORE SKILLS_
- 2-4 years previous media agency/vendor experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or comparable experience
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
